Patricia Ibáñez Oyonarte specializes in pre-litigation advice and judicial and arbitration proceedings, with a solid track record in commercial litigation, particularly in the sale and purchase of companies, distribution, agency, and franchise agreements, as well as in unfair competition and consumer matters. She has spent most of her professional career at Cuatrecasas, where she worked for more than eight years, advising national and international clients. Her experience as an in-house lawyer in the International Contracting Department of Vodafone Global Enterprise for the Southern Europe Region also allowed her to acquire strong negotiation skills by participating in complex transactions with multinational clients, getting involved in all phases of the contractual process and collaborating with various areas of the company. She holds a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid and complemented her education at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She obtained a Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) and completed a postgraduate course in Financial Statement Valuation and Analysis at Pompeu Fabra University. During her university years, she also participated in the 2013 edition of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition as a member of the Autonomous University of Madrid team, which won the national round. Patricia is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the Spanish Business Litigation Club, the Women in a Legal World association, and Nova Talent. She has published articles in specialized journals, such as the Anuario Contencioso (Litigation Practice for Lawyers) and the Revista Vasca de Derecho Procesal (Basque Journal of Procedural Law), where her doctrinal article "Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Awards Annulled in the State of Origin" was awarded the 2015 Basque Court of Arbitration Prize. She has also been recognized as a Best Lawyer in the 2025 edition. She works in Spanish, English, French, and Italian.
